Just to revive this topic, what is the closest to stock color for the lighter grey rims. I want to have mine done but am having a hard time finding the propar color code.

Hi!

I'm the owner of an earlier car (VIN 1735), the car is in really good condition but i want have my wheels painted in the very correcto color of the first ones, i know that is a dark grey but is really difficult without a paint code to have the original shade perfectly. Son can anyone help me?

Hola Toni,
I am happy to see that this old thread still gets visited. At the 2007 DMC Houston Open House I seem to recall that James Espey took us to an upstairs room chock-full of old original DeLorean achives with drawings, specifications, bill of materials etc that they had inherited from the closed down factory in N. Ireland. Somewhere in there I would assume the paint code for the wheel enamel should be spelled out....

BTW, my wheels have yet to see daylight since I had them refinished as I have been restoring my D ever since. I am hoping to have it completed in the spring.

Regards,

Henrik
